WE TELL THE STORY OF BUSKERUD THROUGH PHOTOGRAPHS
Buskerud Fylkefotoarkiv has the overall responsibility for preserving and making available photo collections related to Buskerud.
As part of Buskerudmuseene, we provide photographic expertise to our museums. We supply photographs and offer guidance and assistance in the preservation and use of photographic materials.
We are also part of the national network for the preservation and dissemination of cultural-historical photography, offering advice to anyone in Buskerud seeking guidance in this field.
Our collection is made accessible to the public through various exhibitions, as well as digital platforms. We collaborate with municipalities, heritage organizations, filmmakers, and authors, providing images for various projects and publications.
Although we do not have a dedicated visitor center, , chances are that any photograph you see in one of Buskerudmuseene's departments comes from our collection.
