Cafe 1889

Welcome to our little French-inspired Café 1889. The name refers to Chr. Skredsvig's success in Paris and his participation in the World Exhibition in 1889, where he was a jury member for the art exhibition.

We can offer various small dishes such as our French specialties Crêpes (pancakes) and Escargots (snails in garlic butter)

For lunch, we recommend our homemade Quiche/leek pie or the typical Norwegian sour cream porridge. Gluten-free offer is chicken salad on pre-order.

For coffee, we offer Berets krumkaker, homemade ice cream with mini krumkake and berries, croissant w/chocolate, macaroons and gluten-free almondcakes.

We have a license to serve alcohol and can offer alcoholic beverages such as beer, French wines and the champagne Louis Roederer, the same as Chr. Skredsvigs and Edvard Munch drank together at the Cafe de Paris in Monte Carlo in 1892.

For dinner we recomend the hotel Eggedal Borgerstue in Eggedal just 10 min from Hagan.
