Who are we?

Portåsen is the childhood home of the poet Herman Wildenvey, and today it serves as both a cultural venue and a small farm.

  • 1/1

Although Herman traveled the world as a young man, his upbringing and the surroundings at Portåsen left a significant mark, and he continually returned to them through his poetry.

In Wildenvey's realm, culture and nature meet. Music, art, and literature converge with forests, gardens, and sustainability.

Portåsen is beautifully located at the edge of the forest, with a network of hiking trails nearby. We have an open and accessible park area, a nature-based playground, a beehive, a kitchen garden, a willow field, four concert stages, an art gallery, and a very popular café.
