The trains run regularly every Sunday from late June to the end of August, between Vikersund and Krøderen Station. Travel time is around one hour each way. The train takes you through a vibrant cultural landscape, with farmland, forests and hills, and to the idyllic lake Krøderen.

Krøderbanen works with M/S Kryllingen and Villa Fridheim to offer round trips. Tickets can be bought from NJK.
Train, Boat and Fairy Tales is a full day round trip that includes going on the steam train, a boat ride on lake Krøderen, and a tour of the fairy tale museum Villa Fridheim. The return trip includes a vintage bus ride to Krøderen, and motor carriage back to Vikersund. The trip must be pre-booked. It can be booked with or without dinner.
Fjord Cruise and Steam Train is a round trip from Noresund to Sysle and back. Guests will travel by boat, steam train and vintage bus. The trip must be pre-booked. It can be booked with or without lunch.
In the autumn, ghosts take over the station, and old locomotives and carriages start moving again. Living visitors are still welcome, and the ghosts usually give some sweets to the children. More information is found here: Krøderbanens ghost train
The first weekend in advent, we decorate the station for Christmas. There is also a Christmas market with local goods, as well as coffee, waffles and gløgg. A train runs between Krøderen station and Kløftefoss station.
