Bryggerhuset (The brew house)
Here you will find the museum's reception with a small café and bookshop.
Here you buy entrance tickets to the museum and we sell local history books, coffee, freshly made waffles, mineral water and ice cream. And you can count on pleasant service to serve you what you have ordered.
The mill area
The museum's outdoor area is open to everyone whether the museum is open or not. We are constantly creating a nice area that both locals and visitors can use.
At the top of the Mill area you will find "Basolstua" and an old school building, from here you can follow the trail into the center of Eggedal.
From Sole farm you can walk "Målargutua", the old road from Sole to the mill in Eggedal. Signs have been set up here that specifically tell you about Chr. Skredsvigs and Th. Kittelsen's motifs along the road. Timber floating in the river is also a topic you get information about on the signs.
Accessibility
Eggedal Mølle (mill) is located a long road Fv287 just before you reach the center of Eggedal.
Parking
There are good parking options in the field next to Eggedal Mill, the grass here is cut in the summer, and there is room for many cars.
Availability
Since the buildings at Eggedal Mill date from the 19th century onwards, the buildings are not adapted for wheelchair users, but it is possible to enter the 1st floor of the mill itself.
For children (and adults)
On tours where children are present, our millers organize the program so that it is also exciting for children.
In the mill area there is also an old tractor which children can play on if they want. During the museum's opening hours, it is also possible to borrow outdoor toys that can be used in the area.
